The spray-on fireproofing for structural steel elements was gypsum-based Monokote which had a two-hour fire rating for steel beams, girders and truss, and a three-hour rating for columns.[1]

two hour rating? how long did it burn?

and yet you are still able to say definitely that fire didnt bring this one down. odd, that.

yunno 50 story skyscrapers that burn unchecked are not a common occurrence. the tallest building in baton rouge is the capitol and it is only 34. there is not like an enormous set of data on how many hours these building can burn. how often do you think they just give up and try to dig people out from the ground instead of putting out the fire of a structurally compromised 50 story building?

can you sincerely believe your wacky theory is more likely than ours? how can that be? the conspiracy is mor elikely in your mind than simply a building collapse? how did you get this stupid idea that collapse is so impossible that you would never believe it and instead come up with mountains of lies instead?

also it should be noted that the water pressure for the sprinklers in the building was tragically low. wow i wonder what could have caused that? perhaps the massive collapse of the infrastructure across the street? nevermind thats not a factor it was evil guys.

As far as a mountain of lies, come on, man. Be a little tighter with the language, please. To be lying I would have to know that what I am is saying is false. The word you are looking for is mistaken and I certainly may be....wouldn't be the first and won't be that last but again, gonna search a few things and will be back later.

Ok, regarding the Toy Factory building:

-It was a four story construction and was described as "badly designed" and "a death trap". It was also in Thailand, I believe....suspect construction I would think. I'm going to disregard that as a valid comparison.

    Regarding the McCormick Place Fire:

-First of all this was not a high-rise building. This was a "warehouse" construction with a massive open space in the middle and only three stories high. This is a completely different type of design.

-The building did not even collapse, the roof collapsed. Because of the warehouse type design the structure is only designed to hold up the roof, not addiional floors, like a high rise. After the fire the roof did collapse but the outside wall did not collapse.

As I am admittedly very ignorant of engineering terminology I see that I should have specified that there are no instances of high rise buildings collapsing due to structural failure caused by fires. I used the term steel building out of ignorance but the point is still valid.

The only three high rise buildings (in the history of mankind....martin, i know you enjoy that phrase!:yelwink2:) to collapse because of fire did so on 9/11. Two were hit by airplanes, I give you that but third....? Maybe it was, "pulled".

So, I answered your question about the buildings. See if you can answer me this. What did Larry Silverstein mean when he said that he agreed, they should go ahead and pull Bldg. 7?

Check yo' crystal ball and get back to me....and then why don't you take that crystal ball and go make some serious dough down on Wall St. and then go chill on the Redneck Riviera.

If I had a crystal ball that's what I would do. But I don't, so I slog it out with the rest of us and try to base my judgements on what little info I can get off of Al Gore's invention.

    God bless Al Gore.:hihi:
