I actually have a strange feeling the offense will go with Ensminger in the booth (just against Kentucky) and then flounder again the rest of the season. It will be a temporary and short lived breath of fresh air. I also think Kentucky will be riding a high from their UF win and maybe not take LSU serious. Of course, you could be laughing in my face Saturday night when LSU is losing 28-0 as well.
I think Peetz will be relieved. E can speak O. I don’t think Peetz can. O has more trust in E as he knows E knows more about offense than O does. E also probably has the nuts to ignore O both on the game plan and over the headset during the game if O is trying to call the shots and meddle from the sideline. E is LSU through and through and I bet deep down, in his mind he thinks O needs to get the fuck on too.
Man, you think he full on puts E in charge? He might well do it, but I would hate that for Jake and DJ and the whole offensive staff. Blows my mind how O figured it out. He fixed his life. He won the lottery. And now he's throwing it all away diving head first into his self professed old terrible ways. Just incredible how human nature can be sometimes.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. His dream job is on the line. I can’t believe he left it up to not 1, but 2 rookie coordinators.
10-4 I have a weird feeling we bring it Saturday and play inspired. But my gut feelings have been wrong all season. So, take that for what it’s worth.
It’s not like we haven’t generally played hard, just not real smart. I expect more growing pains. Maybe E can smooth out the offense. Throwing a guy out there who’s never done it wasn’t smart of O.
