No sh!t? I was gonna drop 3 bucks on demand tonight. This one both tirk and peabody failed to review on.
check out the movie review thread. I was deemed a hacker by the servers and havent been able to review it right after I watched the damn thing.
Well, any western is warmly greeted by many of us oldtimers who grew up with them. I didn't see it as a "soap". I saw it as a strong story about friendship, and I thought it was accurate in the way it portrayed the old West. It would have been better without the romantic angle, but I just sort of filter out that part when I'm watching. My favorite lines: [after a shoot-out] Everett Hitch: That was quick. Virgil Cole: Yeah, everybody could shoot. Cowboys, despicable bad guys, horses, rifles, shotguns, and riding off into the sunset - it had all of these. And the good guys came out ahead. But that's why they make so many kinds of movies. We don't have to all like the same things. In fact, the only things EVERYONE likes are money and sex - and just look at the problems THAT has caused.
I can see that. And I am a fan of westerns. My dad brought me up on the Eastwood movies. I guess the trailers just led me to believe that it was gonna be a western in the same light as Tombstone.
