ahh, you're so uninformed you forgot you had to win 2 BCS NC's before you can win 3. classic. dipshiit.
Bitter??? LOL Thats funny, why would I be bitter over the truth? I remember when USC faced Oklahoma in their 1st BCS and the Sooners were favored and got stomped. Same for Auburn...and by the way, who the heck is Univ of Southern Florida? Auburn is the SEC and they lost to USF? USC is a program...being a private school, under Carroll they have the best program in the USA. Like one national publication said, "USC has no peers"
Correction: 3 BCS games, 1 Title. Why don't you just change your screen name to #1 USC Fan? Beside, this time around, LSU fans aren't the only ones claiming LSU as the top dogs in the country. Major sporting websites are calling the Tigers #1, computer polls in association with the BCS are calling us #1, and sports writers all over are praising us. This is the first time we're getting praise over USC and they only reason USC is still the top dog is because the didn't play. I think USC is a great team but, LSU is for real this year. We have the gaudy Big East numbers on offense, the speed of the Pac-10, and the defense of the SEC all rolled into one. However, if I were USC, I wouldn't start bitching about this. Nebraska is a pretty good team but I would be more worried about Cal. USC might not be the kings of California this year. Y'all actually have a lot of work this year, just like LSU, to get to NOLA.
BCS Title #1 - USC, which was ranked #1 going into bowl, beat Michigan BCS Title # 2 - USC soundly defeated Oklahoma Hope this helps............the 3rd will be sweet this season
Wow, how often do we have to discuss this topic with these arrogant california boys? If USC has 2 BCS trophies (not 1 BCS and 1 AP) then where was your trophy in 2003? Correct answer: Baton Rouge, La, because we did in fact play in the NC game (Had Michigan, led by John "stone feet" Navarre, won, they would not have been ranked # 1, thus it was not a national championship game A.K.A. a game which determines which team is the NC). Best defense? USC currently ranked # 12 and LSU # 3. In '06 it was USC # 12 and LSU # 4. In '05 it was USC # 27 and LSU # 8. In '04 it was USC # 2 and LSU # 12. And in '03 it was USC # 19 LSU # 1. So out of the past five (5) years your defense was statistcally better than ours once and ranked in the top 10 all of once. The fact is that, while I may not care for USC very much, I do respect the program and yes Pete Carroll. But you have still won only one NC and, call your team unstoppable all you want, but you were defeated twice last year with largely the same players. And if you can say USC would defeat LSU easily this year or in 2003 with a straight face, then you are merely fooling yourself. Clearly whether in 2003 or in 2007, a USC LSU matchup would only be a great game.
I just pulled up the AP ranking and the USA Today rankings and saw USC #1, LSU #2 but its very close. Did you see these two polls? California is very good and so is Oregon and UCLA . I'm not saying USC will walk thru but they have more talent this year on defense then ever and the offense is very strong. LSU looked AWESOME in 1st 2 games ...like I said, I hope both reams meet in NO so they can settle this on the field.
