If, If, If, Miami passes the ball . Guess what , they will score everytme the get the ball . That is not coaching it is what ? Talent !!! We do not have the TALENT to stop the pass. Here is what you Typed !!!(MT, I was at the SECCG and saw first hand how flat we were for the biggest game of the year. That is all about motivation and coaching. Shame on Lessssss Miles.) To be up for a game you cannot coach that . The Game itself should be motivation if you want to win and If there is enough TALENT to win , WE had no answer for the Touchdown pass , What did JR do , come you were at there game what did JR do ???? He threw a what ? A long interception. Georgia did what ?? As a team Georgia did what? They scored their 2nd TD , they came out dancing arm in arm, the Ga team did that you can not coach that a team coming together . This LSU team played above their heads all year they will have to do it again , We need a quarterback who can handle a pro style offense Rohan was fun to watch and like JR we love to watch them the IF's oh we hang on them (the IF"S) But neither Rohan or JR can win the big game . Flat for a game means one of two things, 1st the team knows they are gonna get a butt kicking , 2nd the game means nothing to the team !! We are now back to the 1st game of the year , our passing defense is what is was then , what was that ? The weakest pass defense in the nation ,. That is our pass defense's talent level !!! It is not coaching the coach that left us, left us with this talent at defense !!!!! Thank you Tigers for another great Year , GEAUX TIGERS play above you heads again !!!
Big difference, clair....college kids are not pro athletes. Look, in my job, I take 24-hour call pretty frequently and some days I have to work 24-hours straight. I couldn't have done that sh*t in high school or college....
:dis: Sounds like you are planning to bash Miles..Win or Lose. Our highly ranked recruiting class means nothing to you, as long as you can keep bashing our Coach? No LSU coach since Dietzel in 1958, has won 9 games in a row. How did Jesse Daniels do in Atlanta by the way? Nope don't need recruits at all..
One game CANNOT(or SHOULD NOT) decide a coaches fate!:dis: It has been a weird year and yes...anything can happen in this game. So, my opinion of Miles will not be swayed by one bowl game in which the starting QB doesn't take the field. I will support CLM until there is sufficient evidence to sway me the other way. Neither an 11-2 nor 10-3 record will sway me away from supporting him.
I would respond, but I didn't feel like reading all that crap. with daniels back our passing defense will be a hell of a lot better. the 2 passing plays that georgia scored on was against... guess who?... steltz... plus Miami offense is as lackluster and blan as LSU's
I have refrained from saying much about Miles, but I saw him on a CSS interview last night and it kind of made me understand him a little better. Miles seems to be the kind of coach that doesn't micro manage. He tells the players and assistant coaches what he expects and/or wants from them. He challenges them and will point things out to them when they don't perform well, but he doesn't chew the players out as a rule. He simply points out what they need to work on to do a better job. He stresses what the team wants to accomplish. He also mentioned that the competition from top to bottom in the SEC is the best in the country so you have to be prepared well to meet those challenges. I got the impression that he puts more pressure on his assitant coaches than on the players themselves. The Miami game should speak volumes because the players have had a chance to rest up and heal some and the coaching staff will have had plenty of time to prepare for this bowl.
Ya know, Steve Spurrier is only 6-6 in bowl games and Bo Schembechler was 5-12 in bowl games. I can't think of any better evidence to validate the point that if LSU should lose the Peach Bowl that Miles has no chance of ever proving himself as a worthwhile coach. I still can't see why those other schools kept losers like Spurrier and Schembechler around. I mean, really now, Bo only won 13 Big 10 titles, some years he didn't even win his conference championship! He was at Michigan, geez, and they put up with that crap.
One of the main signs of a good coach is the ability to adjust and grow within a position. Schembechler made some of the same old mistakes over and over and over again back when he had 125 scholarships available at Michigan.
These guys are kids... They can play football all day long... I can understand a possible lack of focus, because it is hard to mentally get motivated for 11 games in a row, but you can play 1,000 weeks in a row and get motivated for a championship game... And like I said, 3 of those games, the starters virtually played a half, so I really don't think this had anything to do with it
So is that your opinion of Mark Richt also? That he is unable to motivate a team for a big game? Because he had more than enough ammunition after losing in Tiger Stadium in '03 to come out and get his team sky high for the SECCG that season. What was different this season? How was he unable to get his team to perform in '03 but able to get them to play well against a worn out LSU team? Just wondering.
