Well if the $350 million we're spending to help haul rice and water to the tsunami victims bothers you, the $148 billion we're wasting in Iraq must really chap your butt.

Think of all the homeless and destitute Americans who could be living on yachts down at the marina.

no because that money the govt is spending would never be allotted for that. Donations by american people, not taxes, could be.

Red, you sure cry enough about the war. Damn liberal peacenik so-called professors...cry me a river. That's what you do best anyhow. The next war you fight in will be your first. Thank god the US isnt fully comprised of people like this.

i think the spread of democracy in the middle east is about as important as anything in the world right now. in fact i think it is more important than saving any of the tsunami victims, because the spread of militant islam is far more dangerous. the spread of western style free democracies is the best solution we currently have to calm down the suicide bombing radicals of the world.

so the 148 billion isnt wasted, it an investment towards making me and my neighbors less likely to be murdered. a long term investment to be sure, but still a step in the right direction.

the reason homeless people are homeless is because they are insane winos. give them a yacht, and come back the next day and it will have burned up and sunk and the bum is back on the corner begging.

side note: one time the district spelling championships were held at southern U and they had some stupid woman reading the words and she could not pronounce "yacht", and it almost screwed me over, but i figured out what she was saying and dominated. she said "yacckt". damn that woman.

Still 350 million wasted on American winos is better than 350 million wasted on non-American winos.

I'm entitled to my opinions on a political forum, Einstein. What are you afraid of hearing? Is a personal attack the cleverest response you can make?

What's a damn liberal Peacenik, anyway? Something you read in a 60's book? I'm not an anti-war liberal, I'm an anti-stupid war moderate.

once i pointed out something long before Martin concluded yet it still holds true. You know a lot less than you claim or think or both.

    no, you're closer to anti-american.

maybe youand rex can sit around singing kumbaya and smoking a fatty with UN officials to help solve the world's problems with your pencils and spare change.

Uhh, Martin. I made a cynical remark -- a joke. I know you get it, but it sure went over Tirk's head.

I'm the world friggin' authority on my opinions, chum. If you're so smart why don't you offer some discussion instead of just insulting people you disgree with.

Personal attacks and insults are a violation of your user agreement and degrade the quality of discussion on the forum. Attacking a moderator is just . . . really stupid. I wish I could put you back on my ignore list, but Brett asked me to help keep this forum more civil by deleting personal attacks. And I will, Tirk.
