1. And let me add a few more things I forgot about last night... :)

Team leadership and team chemistry. Both are wild cards.

The leadership sets the goals and demonstrates the dedication and work ethic to achieve the goals. Who are our leaders, do they set the example, do they motivate and encourage their teammates to make the effort necessary to be champions?

The chemistry. Do the players get along with each other? Do they care about each other and the fortune of the team. If they don't feel like pushing today for themself, would they push for the good of the team or a friend on the team?

I remember a Wash. Redskin team, probably in the 70's, I think Billy Kilmer led the 'over the hill gang' to the superbowl under George Allen. They had a big offensive line, and when they huddled, the oline held hands. That was the first time I remember seeing that behavior on the field. That team greatly over achieved, and I think part of it was the chemistry.

But, I'm a sentimental old fool sometimes...
  2. Again, this has more to do with trying to place hype before reality.

If the media repeats something enough, and for a long enough time, they start to believe their own slants.

With all the hype on Florida, the media now considers any oppponent that would face them to be an underdog.

I guess that they figure that Urban Meyer and Fulmer will beat up on LSU in Baton Rouge. And that Alabama will somehow sneak in.

Georgia isn't getting much attention, which is fine by me.
  3.  Citizen's A-ray-est...Citizens A-Ray-est.

  4. its called predictions. they have to choose someone and if they predict Urban
will do better than LSU or UGA sobeit. its their choice. its no conspiracy or slant to anyone else.

its who they think is best and if you dont like it, do your own poll.
