They put up a graphic toward the end of the game that said the Steelers have only lost two home games to the same team in the same season twice in franchise history...and both times, it was the Jags.
No, what I heard was that the Saints forgot (the losing team always forgets) that the extra point try in that situation is mandatory - one of the NFL's stupidest rules. They got 11 Saints to come back out of the locker room, one of them was Morstead, broken rib and all. The Vikes lined up for a 2-point conversion rather than kick formation and knelt it. Actually pretty classy, I thought.
It did affect the point spread Minnesota's decision to kneel the extra point against the Saints had a big impact in Vegas http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orle...cle_157191ce-fa49-11e7-93e9-4f26d1b69473.html
nola.com now says Morstead's injury was torn cartiledge in the ribs. His response..."My ego was shot a little bit...(broken ribs) would have sounded cooler." Gamer Story says it will take 4-6 weeks for injury to heal.
Also reported that Terron Armstead played through a "ripped" hip flexor throughout the second half of the season. He says the injury will not require off-season surgery, though he hasn't had his post-season physical yet.
Ott and Hannagriff today basically just had the same conversation we had Sunday regarding Buckner and Smith and all the points brought up on this board they made so, we could all do talk radio.
I had to meet with a guy this morning at a coffee shop. When he got his coffee he pulled out a little bottle of Fireball and put some in his coffee. When I was leaving the first thing I heard was Dan Lebatard talking about some guy drinking 10 shots of Fireball. The he said Fireball was the devil's drink. I had to call the guy and tell him.
That old lady at Fred’s in Mamou keeps a bottle of either Hot Damn or Fireball on her hip and takes swigs. This woman had to be 80 bar tending about 10 years ago.
