if the polls hold true to form we will not be dropped for winning close, maybe lose some votes, but still be #3.
They played a little flat but good teams overcome their own mistakes...and thats what we have done all season. I don't look for it to stop now. No doubt if we get both sides of the ball rolling we are the best in the country. Look at Texas today...should have beat eATMe handily but it wasn't until late in the 4th that they were able to get done. Same with Essee last week. Good teams overcome...and we are a good team. Give up on leaping to Pasadena...we have too much to do with just one game left.
If LSU plays as poorly in Atlanta as it did tonight, Georgia will definately kick our butts. There have been times this year that it seemed to me LSU was playing down to the level of competition they faced. If so, they need to get over that. I am also concerned about the conservative play of LSU when they get ahead. Coach Miles will not be able to bring this program where it needs to be if he trys to hand on to what he has rather than putting the game away with offense.
Fortunately, we ran into a coach who is just as goofy as Miles. I thought we were dead when they got that miracle 4th down conversion for a first down at the 33. If I would have been calling plays at that point, I would have run three conservative plays to make sure I got a shot at the field goal. Nutt-job played right into our hands.
