1. LSUDad - you are right it is a numbers game and if you read the topic of the thread it clearly states "The sky is not falling" which I firmly believe it is not. I also believe this is a little more sophisticated than just being a numbers game because we sure are paying CLM a hell of a lot of money to just play a numbers game.
  2. He was forced to abandon Lee. The real story of what happened has not come out yet. It would not be in the interest of the university for it to come out.
  3. Its a numbers game with recruiting, ask any coach. Many times your job depends on the decision of a 16-18 year old kid. Every coach does this.....this coach gets paid a lot more to play the numbers game.......

  4. All I will say is after the Shady's incident there was discussion centered around clearing JJ and getting his starting job back.
  5. JJ's parents are both lawyers. Things were said. But Miles felt he had no choice but to eventually start JJ or it would be detrimental to the team.
  6. But no matter how good they are, I sing praises that they are not good enough to get him another year of eligibility.
  7. I agree. It's time for a fresh start.
  8. LSUDad - you are missing the point, yes I realize there are only a certain NUMBER of spots on a roster and a certain number of recruits a team can sign - I get that. I was just trying to point out that within the amount of kids that you can recruit and sign there is a whole lot more than we can sign 25 recruits yeepee!!! That the amount of money we pay these guys that they go out and get the best of the best and not settle for 2nd or 3rd. I was just hoping that because of our success that the recruiting trail would be a little easier but from the looks of things it isn't.
  9. Yes, you are right. All the 1's at their positions should be lined up outside CLM's office begging to play here. :dis:
  10. That is the key the team was winning and winning with balance both running and hold on to your seat PASSING!!! And Miles threw "pardon the pun" that away because of his stubbornness which as you pointed out leads to self destructive behavior. Unfortunately you really did not give justice to what Lee probably felt not "slighted" but "screwed." Always have said Lee was a better QB than JJ no matter what anyone else felt. Unfortunately what I thought didn't make a hill of beans only what CLM thought and he thought wrong!!!
