If Dinardo had hired a Bo Pelini instead Lou Tepper :angryfire :angryfire , he may still be the coach at LSU.
I highly disagree. There is no chance that Saban would have won three NC's, by now, had he stayed at LSU. We needed a lot of things to fall our way in 03' just to make it then. I doubt Saban would have done any better than Miles in the last couple of years, maybe even worse. I think Saban is a good coach, but not as good as it may appear. He's known as a great recruiter, but is he really? Or is it just that he was in the perfect situation at LSU? We shall soon know the truth.
We know that under Coach Saban, Alabama will be a FORCE OF NATURE for at least the next 10 years. It was a "can't miss" hire. Let's face it, in the next five years, Coach Saban will AT LEAST equal what he accomplished at LSU . . . that is AT LEAST two SEC championships and one :crystal: . During the latter five years of Coach Saban's reign, you can expect to exceed the first five year's record of accomplishments. I don't think that Coach Saban will coach at Bama for more than 10 years. This is absolutely certain to be the most exciting and successful era at Bama since the Bear's days. Heck, I'm even considering turning coat and becoming a Big Bama fan myself, because I'm going to get tired of Miles losing year after year to Coach Saban and his Mighty Crimson Tide. I bow down to the Mighty Alabama Crimson Tide. I admire your greatness. I look forward to you hoisting the :crystal: next year, for, certainly, with the greatness of Alabama and Nick Saban, no power on Earth can stop you. Mods, Could we please add an Alabama "A" to our list of emoticons? I want our Bama friends to feel how I feel about Nick Saban and the Mighty Crimson Tide.
Exactly, Jean Lafitte, the bammers on this board and elsewhere are proclaiming their dominance and LSU's demise, and they haven't one a single damn game!!!!!
Better yet, we will join you shoulder to shoulder cheering for the mighty tide in the Sugar bowl Championship game next year. Hell, I might go to T-town cheer for you guys against LSU. After all, who wants to be an LSU fan when god have sent his angel to roll the tide all throughout the planet of earth..:thumb:
This posted on tidefans.com Also, there isn't anywhere that Saban can really go. He jumped from the Big-11 to the SEC which was a smart move. He is at the top conference in the nation. He moves to the NFL and tries that for two seasons and realizes that is not for him. Now he moves back to the best conference in the nation, to coach for the BEST TEAM IN THE NATION(crimson glasses), and now there is nowhere to go. He won't go back to the NFL, and he is not going to go to a lower tier conference See what I mean
