Nobody is asking them to share their money, just not get special tax breaks. Taxes are EVERYBODY's money. I can't believe I have to teach you this. Then why don't those breaks come with requirements that they actually do that? No, they get the breaks and can spend the tax dollars they saved as they wish or not spend it at all. It's their money now. That's the friggin' problem. They are robbing income from the nation and don't have to do a goddamn thing in return. And most don't. Just like the Bush bailout of the banks and AIG that was supposed to buy up all their toxic debts. They didn't do it. They used the money for anything they liked including buyouts and mergers, big corporate bonuses and other things that did not help the mortgage crisis at all. It just saved their asses from going bankrupt out of their own greed. The middle class would be foolish to trust to the largesse of the very rich, the corporations, and big finance. They only want to get richer and they put that ahead of the best interests of the United States. Wrong. They would still be rich and they would be paying their fair share and billions of lost income would return to the national coffers so we can pay down the debt. Get real. I'll speak about anything I think is important. You only care about yourself. I realize that you can't understand this, but many of us do not. I advocate for the best interests of the middle class and the nation as a whole. You pucker up for the rich who hold you in contempt. What a chump!
it isnt about who cares about other people. that is a liberal lie to cast other positions are less pious. nobody really cares about that. they tell themselves they do. i know i dont give a damn about my fellow man, if i dont know him. and neither does anyone else. thats just the way humans are designed. i know you will disagree, but that is because i am more honest than you. but anyways, if you do care about the poor, then you should favor small government and low taxes and no handouts because it strengthens the economy which helps everyone. it helps the rich the most, but it helps everyone.
Here are some more figures for you. The top 1% of the income earners pay 36.9% of federal taxes. The top 5% of the nation's income earners pay 57.1% of federal taxes, while the bottom 50% of income earners pay 3.3% of federal taxes. The progressive tax structure of the United States federal income tax system reduces the tax incidence of those with smaller incomes as it shifts disporportionately the tax incidencen to those with higher incomes. If the federal taxation rate is compared with the wealth distribution rate, the net wealth distribution of the United States almost coincides with the share of income tax - the top 1 percent pays 36.9% of income tax and has 32.7% of the wealth; the top 5% pay 57.1 of the income tax and has 57.2% of the wealth; the top 10% pays 68% of the income tax and has 69.8% of the wealth; the bottom 50% pay 3.3% of the income tax and has 2.8% of the national wealth. The solution to the income gap is not to redistribute the wealth from the top and give it to the bottom feeders, but to create opportunities for the bottom to rise toward the top.
At least what trickles down in Republican economics is jobs and income. What trickles down in the Democratin economic system are taxes.
Only you can't explain how that works, because it did not happen! The biggest redistribution of wealth in this country happened under the Bush tax cuts for the rich. They got immensely richer while the middle class declined and the country went into an economic crisis. Did you think we have forgotten that?
the rich getting richer is obviously a positive, not a negative. if the middle class declined under bush, what do you think caused it, which policy?
