Why not? That's typical bubble shit. I can't stand Donald Trump and I find myself agreeing with some of his thoughts. Just because you are on the other side of the fence from someone doesn't mean that common ground can't be found somewhere. That's what's wrong with this country today. Too much oh you're a liberal so you're opinion on everything is invalid or you're a conservative so you're opinion on everything is invalid.
Come on man, look I'm pretty tired of being blamed for shit out of my control because I'm white too but let's not act like any us would trade places with African Americans that are on the same social or financial scale as ourselves. I don't fear that I'm gonna get shot if I move wrong when I'm pulled over. Have times changed and most of the young black Americans today had to go through even a fraction of the bias and prejudice their parents and grandparents had to endure? Hell no, but there is still some privledge to being white. That being said like I said earlier that's not my fucking fault and I'm tired of being blamed for it.
Sorry but I don't feel privledged because I'm white. Sure, rich white people are privleged. Some because they worked for it and earned it and some simply because they inherited it. But rich black people are privledged too. Poor people are underprivledged whether they are white or black. When I sarcastically say that white people are privledged to pay the taxes that support the freeloaders I'm talking mainly about us middle class folks. I include middle class black people in that "privledged category too because they are in the same boat we are, overtaxed for their hard work to elevate themselves and their families from the downtrodden. If I was black I wouldn't have as much fear of being killed by the police as most young blacks do. That's because instead of being a smartass and resisting and trying to fight the cops I would be as polite as I could and comply with what they told me to do even if I seethed inside over being mistreated. I think most white people have encountered an asshole cop at least a time or two. The last time I got stopped it was a black cop who pulled me over because my license plate had come off in the car wash and I didn't know it. He was a total butthole and kept threatening to have my truck impounded but I didn't give him an excuse to go through with it.
