    well. i just spent the entire afternoon on campus as lsu, mostly my mike's habitat. i sat quietly and watched and listened to many lsu fans who visited the habitat. i also listened to many VT fans who came to "see this 'cat'" as one of them put it. after listening to VT fans, i have come to the conclusion that they are just as much about winning a football game this weekend as we are. considering my experience today, i find Michael Denton's column in the Reveille to be naive and a bit dramatic. someone needs to tell him there is no place in true journalism for either of those things.
