At the risk of sounding "cold hearted", there is only a slim chance anyone on the team really knew any of the victims. Maybe had a class with one and about a hundred other people. I doubt any lost a "running buddy."

VT fans are saying that they can't wait to come to Tiger Stadium. They have heard that it is one of the greatest sporting venues in college football. They have heard about the LOUD stadium, the FAMOUS tailgating, the SPIRIT of the fans, the ATMOSPHERE before, during, and after the game. Many are hoping to experience this first hand and even be invited to taste some REAL CAJUN food. They have all heard of the TIGER BAITING. Unless they are an ass, they can return the fun and have the best time of thier life. I say-------GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT. AN EXPERIENCE TO REMEMBER, WIN OR LOSE.

I agree with Col Reb...(did I just say that??). I have spent a little time perusing their board...(terrible format, if you ask me)...and they are really looking forward to a REAL LSU gameday experience. But, even more importantly, some are questioning how loud Tiger Stadium can be, claiming that a game against Miami a few years ago was the loudest POSSIBLE game ever. I am sadly unable to be there this weekend, but I hope you guys that are there show them the truth!

how about i NOT wear black or maroon or orange and I DO wear purple and gold?

how about I NOT cheer against my team but instead treat the va tech faithful like i do every other visitor to my city and tailgate: feed 'em, laugh with them, get them drunk, and show them an experience they'll be salivating to repeat in the future.

they're coming here for a party, not a pity party.

    Yep!

By the way I am sending some va tech guys by your tailgate. They are going to ask for you or your better half and tell you I sent them! Real nice and classy guys, you'll like them! They don't want a pity party but they are looking for a party!!!

i have seen a lot of comments about this guy being a liberal, and he probably is. however, as someone who is fairly liberal myself, i can tell you i think this guy is a moron. and i think most liberals would probably agree with me. lets not lay this solely at the feet of liberalism. this is just plain stupidity.:dis:

i did also post that its probably not necessary for most of the victims families, but...

they werent all students. some students are older (nontraditional) and/or have families to support. not all traditional students' families have $ for funerals.

regardless, still more helpful than wearing a ribbon.
