1. Yep.

Defense technically only gave up 1 FG today and less than 160 yards.
  2. Good overall performance. Too many TOs. Overmatched Utah St team.

  3. Favored by 27, won by 36. And only because we pulled the horses.

  5. Best the defense has looked, for sure. Mildly encouraged, particularly against a NFL prospect QB. Glad we worked on the run game, I guess partially because Utah St was concentrating on the pass game. Good to see we can win multiple ways.

OL was a bit of a disappointment and I don’t recall Chaisson being real disruptive. DL good against the run, didn’t seem to get a ton of pressure.

  6. Doubting the professor is never really a high percentage thought. You just gotta let a wizard wiz, in spite of the performance delivered. How he delivers in the next month is where judgment becomes valid.
  7. The QB for Utah State is expected to go in the early rounds. So not just an "NFL prosect".

15-30 for 130 yards (4.3 yards per attempt), 3 interceptions

Dropped back 32 times, netted 122 yards (3.8 yards a drop back)

That kid has never seen a day like that, not remotely close.

19 carries, 36 yards by the running backs.

But hey you're mildly encouraged so that's something.

  8. I agree, a dominating performance against Utah St means the defense is back and we will rip through the SEC.
