The real reason that Mark Emmert left LSU...

I don't think there is anything LSU can do to stop Emmert from returning to UW. I have to agree that the huge budget cuts to higher ed will make it easier for Emmert to pack up his things and move home. Had everything continued to roll along and his budget expanded, it would have made his decision extremely difficult. Much like Saban, Emmert is a builder of things.

As much as I like bagging on Blanco, all she did was help make his decision to move easier. She is basically standing there holding the door open for him with her characteristic, "I don't know what's going on here" smile upon her face.

Hopefully, she and Coach stay out of Jenkins and the BoS business and allow them to conduct their search without interference. That's what we need to lobby, as soon as Emmert makes it official.

I would have never thought that Gov. Blanco would do something to screw her state.
At first, she seemed like she would help LSU out, or just leave it the way it is. Now we lose Emmert and now probably no one would want to fill in his spot (like someone said earlier). I say, screw her!
