I don't begrudge anyone for their decision they made in the Edwards/Duke election...it was difficult...The lesser of two evils...

The greatest sin as a citizen in terms of your country is to fail to use your voice to elect your governmental representatives, in my opinion...but, to be faced with a choice such as that...wow...

I never liked Jindal, but voted for him because he was the better choice. This is the darkest hour in LSU's history since the death of Huey Long.

I don't know about the whole "Darkest hour" thing...But, while the University is far from rudderless, it's who the captain-Mz. Blank-O-puts at the rudder that makes me worry...

She is no friend of LSU, and the Chancellor's the one who goes the Legislature to fight for this University. To think that someone who could care less about LSU is going to appoint the person responsible for its stewardship and guidance in an onward and upward trend, and then set him before a Board of Supervisors whom she picks and chooses to "filter" his decisions through...

Trust me, it isn't the darkest hour, but it's an hour where-as I said a long time ago-that has the possibility of very, very dark clouds in our future forecast...

I can't say that this is one of your dumber posts (b/c you have so many), but it certainly ranks right up there.

I know it's hard for you not to blame someone for something, but this was Emmert's dream job ... and not anyone or anything could have prevented it from happening!

Emmert told the LSU board of supervisors three years ago that the only position he would leave LSU for was the President of the University of Washington.

So what does this have to do with Blanco??

At one time, I would have agreed w/ this statement 100% TE...but over the years, I've come to realize, that the people who fought and died for my right to vote did so because my vote was a precious thing. That having been said,
it's TOO precious a thing in some cases to be thrown away on a candidate simply because he/she is the lesser of two evils. That being the case, one could also say that these patriots also fought and died for my right
    to not vote.

i agree. there is nothing wrong with not voting. if you are protesting, or if you are just too lazy or don't give a damn who gets elected.

very politically naive view. not voting is clearly a perfectly legitimate right and there is nothing wrong with exercising that right. in fact, if during the edwards/duke election, there had only been a 2 % turnout, it would have been an effective way for voters to voice their displeasure at the choices.
