It's about explode alright. Like a stick of dynamite right in their back pocket. Hope they brought some anal lube.
That's what I was thinking. I was living up there then and remember thinking that he was a pretty good coach. In fact when the Petrino debacle happened there was a pretty fair amount of their fan base wanting him to come back to Ark. As HC.
The benchmark for me for this game is whether or not LSU has game in control by halftime. If we can start substituting in our 2nd teamers by middle of the third quarter, and get our starters off the field, I will know this LSU team has made progress. All too often we predict big wins against inferior teams (N Texas, Townsen, for example), and our starters are still out there in the 4th quarter trying to win the game. Progress for me would be to see a lot of new faces with quality snaps in the second half tonight.
I'm keeping my eyes on LSU's defensive line. If this line is for real, they should be all in the backfield tonight. Ego and The Freak (sounds like the name of cartoon) will get most of the attention, I'm looking for Rasco, Allen, and Hunter to have an impact. We also get Tahj Jones back, I think he is the missing link to this D.
Les on UAB: “They have a quality coach in Garrick McGee, who was an offensive coordinator who had a lot of success at Arkansas. He’s a very, very talented guy and he will have his team ready to play. They are explosive on offense and we are preparing to see both of their quarterbacks. They will mix it up on you offensively so there’s a lot you have to be ready for. “They have a veteran defense that we expect to come in here and play hard. The key for us is to focus on what we can control and that’s our execution on both sides of the ball and in special teams."
LSU AD: "Against UAB, the LSU defense will be challenged by a Blazer offense that featured a quarterback who threw for 300 yards last week, a wide receiver who caught for 200 yards and and a running back who ran for 100 yards. The UAB offense piled up 453 total yards, without a turnover"
