LSU beat Washington (Bowl team) 41-3. Their only points came off the opening kickoff when we fumbled it. LSU is definitely capable and this game should be out of reach early. UAB was 3-9 last year. They are terrible. Towson could probably beat UAB and Towson already took down UConn last week.

He has dismissed at least one player. Les did not like his player beating up another student in a bar fight. He suspended Jefferson for half a season. I wish he had dismissed him, he came back to haunt us. Hill only had a misdemeanor charge, but I expect he will get at least another game suspended. We don't need him to win our next two games and Hill needs to suffer some consequences.

Since 1992 LSU is 12-9 ATS when favored by 31 or more.

That's a lot of culinary respect to be giving UAB....or any other team from that state.

University of Alabama at Birmingham has only beaten two SEC teams in their history:

2004 W 27-13 @ Mississippi State (Miss State beat Florida 38-31 that year)
    2000 W 13-10 @ LSU

vs UAB in 2000, LSU had:
--Bradie James (10 tackles), who enters his 11th year in the NFL
--Trev Faulk (13 tackles), who played 2 years in the NFL
--Ryan Clark (6 tackles, 1 INT), Pro Bowler who enters his 12th year in the NFL
--Howard Green (6 tackles), who played 8 years in the NFL
--Jarvis Green (3 tackles), who played 8 years in the NFL
--on offense: QB Josh Booty (6th Round), FB Tommy Banks, RBs LaBrandon Toefield (played 5 years in NFL) and Domanick Davis (had three 1,000 yard rushing seasons in the NFL), WR Josh Reed (played 8 years in the NFL), etc

UAB has a history of playing tough against the big boys:

2012 L 15-29 @ Ohio State (UAB outgained Ohio State 403 yards to 347 and 22 first downs to 20 -- and Ohio State went undefeated and finished #3)

2010 L 24-29 @ Mississippi State: even though MSU's LaDarius Perkins ran for 131 yards and 7.3 YPC, UAB outgained Miss State 24 first downs to 18, and had 354 yards to Miss State's 378 (Miss State finished #15/#17 that year).

2010 L 29-32 @ Tennessee: UAB outgained Tennessee 544 yards to 287 and 23 first downs to 15. (that was the year LSU only beat Tennessee 16-14)

2008 L 13-26 @ South Carolina: UAB's QB Joe Webb, who was drafted 6th Round, was 17/28 for 140 yards, 0 TD, 2 INTs, and 1 rushing TD (South Carolina only lost 17-24 to LSU that year, and only 7-14 to Georgia)

2007 L 24-34 @ Florida State: FSU's Preston Parker had 172 all-purpose yards including 89 yards on 4 catches (Florida State beat Alabama 21-14 that year)

2006 L 10-16 vs. Mississippi State: MSU's Anthony Dixon ran for 81 yards and a 4.3 YPC (Miss State beat Bama 24-16 that year, and only lost to Georgia 24-27)

2006 L 17-24 @ Oklahoma: OU's Adrian Peterson ran for 139 yards and a 5.8 YPC (Oklahoma won the Big 12 Championship Game 21-7 over Nebraska and finished the regular season ranked #7/#8)

2005 L 10-17 @ Tennessee: Tenn's Arian Foster had 4.6 YPC and Robert Meachem had 17.5 yards per reception (Tennessee beat #5/#6 LSU 30-27 that year, and only lost to #12/#16 Florida 7-16, to #10/#10 Georgia 14-27, and to #8/#8 Bama 3-6)

2003 L 13-16 @ Georgia: for UAB, Roddy White only had 1 catch for 10 yards (Georgia finished #6/#7 that year)

Not off hand, I'd tend to think they aren't very good because as (maybe it was you) was mentioned before, LSU isn't great at covering big spreads. They win, just not by what the "experts" think.
