I can't argue with this, Tirk. We got our asses whipped; it's true. The UGA loss didn't phase me that much, but the Ole Miss one hurt, not as badly as last year's Bama loss, but it hurt nonetheless.
I was kind of wondering about that Dural kid. I thought we would see more of him and that JUCO fellar from Hinds play more at receiver. We need some size those two guys are well above 6 foot and can jump. I think it would be nice to see us sub either him or Dural... Miles did say we would start to see more action from under classman I wonder if that is part of the game plan?
Copeland is likely to be the first offensive player ejected for a targeting foul. Before the season began, I'd have said it would be Loston. But he doesn't get close enough to tackle anyone anymore.
Targeting is more for defensive players, isn't it? I'm not sure it gets called on offensive players so much. edit: I'm an idiot. Just read your post again where you specifically said that he'd be the 1st offensive player to get whistled for it. Sorry.
Too late to invent another receiver from out of the blue. That's why you play the Kent States and Furmans of this world. But Les doesn't take advantage of that at all (see Jennings 2 pass attempts for his entire career going into 2014, yikes).
I've seen a&am even sit joeckel early in the 4th for their 3rd string qb to get reps. Sumlin figures 1 Heisman per player is enough.
The 2nd halves of Kent State, Furman and UAB, I would have had Jennings throw at least 30 passes total in the 3 games. I would have had Louis at MLB and Beckwith and DE the entire 2nd half, so we could replace the liability known as Welter and give ourselves another possible edge rusher in Beckwith. Rashard Robinson more PT, ramping him up quick to try and at least be our nickel back. None of that took place. But hey, we looked great finishing those games. Thus the enigma that is Les Miles.
Beckwith at mlb is ideal IMO. Plus he's shown instincts something no one else has except 25. Not sure wtf they are doing moving him at 250lbs to DE.
