When was the last time an LSU defense allowed 300+ in the first half??? Yikes. WTF with the UGA sideline dancing -- no excessive celebration there?

    2008 was worse actually

But that had to do with the co-defensive coordinator mess Les put himself in that season.

This year it's more on the player personnel. It's just not the right combination of players.

We're still fast, but we can be bullied around in the trenches. Not only do we look small, we play even smaller.

If you can't come close to winning the battle in the trenches, then you're going to be an utter failure on defense.

Well the defense is still not an LSU defense...... They can not communicate with each other or don't know how to switch off on coverage

While that may be true, just watch the O-line dominate our D-line.

That's the game within the game. We're being shut out.

You can communicate all you want on the backend, you're going to eventually give up coverage when the QB has that much time to throw.

Murray isn't even slightly worried about a pass rush right now. He's just sitting back waiting for someone to break open. The pass coverage probably would be acceptable if we had adequate pressure on the QB, save for a couple of missed assignments.

I have always thought Chavis was average, at best. Three times the defensive backs didn't know what was going on and the defensive line can't stop GA at all. It is going to be a long 2nd half because Chavis won't make an adjustment. And, what in going on with like 20 yards rushing in the 1st half? GA is just waiting for the run.

With LSU's offense not running the ball well and the defense sucking so bad this next half could get ugly.

LSU's only hope is to start getting their running game going and hope to create a freak turnover somewhere on defense.

Right now this game is looking like Georgia by 10.

What sucks is this offense paired with the defense from the past 2 seasons wins back to back championships.

Offensively, we have looked good. But, still...every now and then...it looks like slow motion or something. The offensive line is collapsing and you can just see the sack coming. Having said that, there is definitely a lot of good on offense.

I still think we make some adjustments and play a bit better in the 2nd half on D. Nothing outstanding, but well enough to keep us in the game.

Now it's on the offense to be nearly perfect in order to win the game.

I fully expect the LSU offense to put 7 on the board to start the 3rd quarter, 24 all tie. Let's see who wants it more after that point.
