    Weigh me in as amused.

I do hope one day people will make up their mind. One day it's "Bryant is dead, get over him." Yet, soon after, he is brought up again.

Says you, only because you choose to ignore the evidence to the contrary.

And this somehow exonerates you? Typical bama, "Someone else did it too, let me tell on them and you can forget all about what little old bahr is doing. Hey, we know they were just trying to fight fire with fire, but those peons have to be put back in their place. By the way, doesn't your nephew need a new car?"

You really think bahr never cheated? Once past the biographies that are self written or found in the elementry school library one usually finds a little less fiction. Sometimes enlightenment is painful, but less so than ignorance.

Very good post Jean Lafitte....finally a perspective with some class. All you other posters can hate Alabama with a vengence......but you can do it without trashing coach Bryant. There is really no need for that.

I will question many things about bahr, but not his cunning. A good part of his ability to withstand the passage of time without reprecussions from his activities is from his development of his bahr boys. Many of these former players became successful coaches or held prominent roles in other venues. This "family" would not turn on him, much as a Don is protected by his subordinates. Their unwillingness to cause harm to their benefactor speaks volumes to the control he held over his former players. Many of his potential adversaries were and are bahr boys. I cannot speak as to if the bahr was a well read man, but he seemed to know his Sun Tzu.

"To know your enemy, you must become your enemy ... Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." This familiar quote is from Sun Tzu (China - 400 B.C.), author of On the Art of War.

Once again Jean Lafitte reminds me why I like some LSU fans and great post by the way. But you Barners, don't you even cheat at things like Golf and Tennis? Get over yourselves you sound like a baby with a dirty diaper.

I know Bear drank a lot, but is that the only thing we can say bad about him? Hell, how good would bammer have been if he were sober?
