Should it be done now, after the season or some other time? Or taceos? I say last season would have been a good time.
I said after the season. I supported firing Les after 4 games because there was still a possibility of salvaging something out of the season. With this years hoops there is nothing left to salvage. Just make sure you have already started the search before the annual fired coaches marathon. We don't even have anybody on the staff even worthy of being an interim except for maybe Randy Livingston and I'd hate to see him get a big black mark this early in his college coaching career.
I don't know, it seems that this team is just continuing the quit they started last season. There doesn't seem to be any connection between the coaching staff and the players. I can understand being a bad offensive team but there is no hustle on defense. Poor footwork, no hand work, they don't move to the ball, it's just blah. I'd be willing to bet you could take the 7 best high school players in the state and put them up against this team and they would beat LSU. There is no drive, no want to compete at all with the exception of Antonio Blakeny, and that is a reflection of the coach. I like Johnny Jones, but I think you get rid of him now, let Livingston finish the season and then actually do your job and perform a legitimate coaching search for someone who is young and hungry and wants to prove himself and even sees this as a stepping stone job.
Its there to spark questions like the one you ask to lighten up a very depressing thread. And for strippers.
