Cabrera is a beast. Somewhat deficient in the outfield but improving. Will start out in the 6 hole but should eventually bat 3rd.

Antoine Duplantis - one of cpms favorite players of all time.

Josh Smith - will lead off and play ss. His natural position.

Jake Slaughter - will start out at 3b. Not used to struggling so hes having difficulty dealing with adversity. Affects his play. Hal hughes will spell him late on defense if needed.

Zack sparky Watson - electric offensively and defensively Reminds CPM of mahtook. Bad news is he's now projected as a 1st rounder by some and is a draft eligible sophomore.

Zach Hess- will start out of necessity but CPM wishes he could close. Could be an Alex lange or could move back to the pen. Experimental time.

Cam Sanders - jc transfer from Thibodaux. Reminds CPM of Aaron Nola the way he walks, warms up, runs and his pitching motion. He has electric stuff but lacks Nolas control. But who doesn't. He will be a midweek starter initially then his fate will be decided after. Still seems like closer material but that control thing would be a concern.

Aj Labas/Nik Storz/Trent Vietmeier- all out of state recruits all right handed pitchers all 3 injured. Should all be back eventually.

Storz had a bone spur removed should be back late March early April and hopefully a force by postseason. He 6'6 255 and can hit it as far as anyone.

Vietmeier had a rib removed that was pinching a vein.

Aj labas has back problems. Had surgery in December. Supposed to be back beginning of April.

Alan Dunn - despite all the arguments we lack power arms under his regime he's had the lowest era in his 6 years in the sec. So says Mainieri. I bet that doesn't hold for postseason when it matters most however when power arms beat power at the plate. Anyhow.

Mainieri said the hitting was way ahead of the pitching especially with all the new arms. But seemed pretty amazed at how much progress they have made since. Maybe we can make some noise. Onto the new season.

If Sanders has that good of an arm but needs coaching to develop control I don't trust Dunn to properly teach it to him.

This thread is not official until @CajunlostinCali is here

I wonder if we can make it private to keep the rally killers out?
