    I beg to differ.

If I owned the company it would trickle up to me. Where does it say that I'm entitled to share in profits that someone else made through their money and efforts?

What can I tell you? Start up a giant corporation and do what you want to with the money. I made a deal with my company 30 years ago: I work for you and you pay me. The terms haven't changed and they've held up their end.

how could you possibly know that? my goodness liberals are ****ing presumptuous. they know what is best for everyone.

and again, given a free system, there will be people who suceed at many times the rate of everyone else. this is not a problem, it is in fact good for everyone.

so what? does it frustrate you that private business exists? that they decide their own pay structures? why do you care? its literally not your business.

if you think this is true, then why do you vote for obama, a corporate stooge?

The CEO's don't own the company. They just run it and cherrypick the board to rubberstamp all the decisions they make, like raising their own salaries and giving themselves huge bonuses and sevrance packages. The corporations are owned by stockholders that are getting screwed because there is so much stock that individual investors have no say at all about how the corporation is run. Even big investors like the pension plans, 401k managers, and mutual and hedge funds are so diluted that they can't make meaningful changes.

The foxes are literally in charge of the henhouse with practically no regulation.

It was hard enough to get into the top 10%. The curve rises exponentially from here.

I don't have a problem with this but let's say that everyone else does. What would you do to stop it? I guess what I want to know is how far would you go to alter the free enterprise system to get this number back in line with where you think it should be?

    Exactly.

Wall Street protests are not about keeping mom and pop from living the American Dream. Its about corporate greed. Its about Enron, AIG, GM, GE.... I support the protesters to that end. However, their answer to this problem is social justice and economic equality which will send us in the direction of Greece and Spain.

Capitalism brings out the best in people but it allows for the worst. We just need to control the worst.

I tend to agree with yourself and Red here, it is hard though, I can't support these protests though, communists, socialists, people crapping on the American flag, etc.
Besides I think this is what Obama wants for "transforming" the country and never let a crisis go to waste. I don't think he will be re-elected, he is running out of time.
Some of this is also due to government failure though, we have too many regulations on some things and possibly not enough on other things. If according to Red there is no regulations, look to government and ask why?
Often times I believe people don't look at the role government plays in this mess.
