LSU "lucked up" with the hiring of Les Miles? Does it not raise questions in your mind as to why he is never discussed as a possible hire for another school other than his Alma Mater? No NCAA, no NFL, nothing.... His success stems from the unbelievable talent left behind by Saban, solid recruiting in the state, and good coaches on his staff. His gameday coaching abilities are extremely sub par. Every LSU fan I know personally, is really really excited about the thought of him going to Michigan.

isn't that precisely what i said? and in any case, it takes a lot more than talent to win -- simply look at florida. the bulk of what i said went right over your head. anyway, i'll be back for baseball season. peace out homies.
gruden has become a hall of fame coach the last couple of years by not coaching. genius. i think he occasionally puts his name out there for laughs. makes for good reading when opening the paper on the weekends.
Miles has publicly stated that he does not want to coach in the NFL, thus no NFL teams have ever come courting. Please tell me which schools came after the following coaches: Urban Meyer (Other than Notre Dame, which is his Michigan in terms of emotional attachment) Jim Tressel Pete Carrol Mack Brown My point is that, when you are a coach at a big name at a big name school, there is no reason for a coach to move, unless there is an emotional tie of some sort. Please tell me in the last three years, which school had an opening that is better than LSU?
