Thanks, Titan. Where the hell have you been? It's almost football season.

Well I'm sick over this, like everyone else. You can go back to 2003, and I posted saying I thougth Alley was the most talented freshman I'd seen that year. Doesn't hurt that he's from my neck of the woods.

Alley, we're pulling for you to make a COMPLETE recovery. When the rehab is tiring, remember you have many fans pulling for you, wishing you the best!

my thoughts exactly....yes its terrible that Broussard got hurt, I feel for him greatly and hopes he has a complete recovery. But now that its happened you have to look at the bright side of things....

    1) Broussard will be our starter at RB with either a 5th year senior Jamarcus Russell or junior Ryan Perilloux at QB in 2007.
    2) Addai will get more touches this season....which in my opinion needed to happen a lot sooner. It sucks that its under these circumstances but again, I'm looking at the bright side. Addai has been the most under utilized player I have seen at LSU in all my years of following LSU football.

You can have any RB you want, but it all comes down to blocking...

A good OLine can make an average RB look great... (see the Denver Broncos)

I am not saying Alley isn't great, b/c he IS, I am just saying that with our line, our system, and our style of play, we have 5-6 guys who can hold this torch comfortably...

Carey, Addai, Vincent, Hester, and freshman

Some excellent displays of sportsmanship from the AU faithful in this thread. We really, really appreciate it, guys.:thumb:

That said, I would like to refocus on Vincent. He has been mentioned a few times thus far, but mostly as an afterthough.

As everyone knows, he did not play to his abilities last year. There were several factors that could have contributed to that. Some say he partied too much in the offseason, some say it was a matter of not getting enough reps, some say it was the sophomore jinx, and others said he lost a step. Regardless of the reason, Justin is a smart and determined player. I assure you, no one was as disappointed with his performance last year as he was. I have good faith that he has worked his tail off to get back to where he was in 2003.

Have we forgotten how very badly he pasted two of the best run defenses in the country the last two games of that magical season? Those types of performances are NOT flukes. Guys, I really get the feeling that he will be coming back around this year. I anticipate that we will be reliving his exciting and game-breaking running style this fall.

Amen... the Aubies have a heart after-all...

I don't dislike Auburn fans... Just their coach... :hihi:

And I DO NOT think JV's struggles was because he partied too much or anything stupid like that...

He was our best special teams guy..., so he did play hard.. I think Nick just lost faith in him a little too easily.

How can you say this after last year? The blocking last year was sub par and JV could not do anything but dance. AB and JA made things happen.

As far line play I chalk that up to JV's 03 season when the line did make an average back look good. JV agility help him once he got open field but the line play consistently got him and anybody else back there. But don't forget he did get caught from behind cause he would look back. Just telling you what I saw that's why in my book it's AB over JV.

Man, I've been busy. I have two girls now, one 2 and the other 8 mos old. You do the math. ;)

Actually it's a combination of things...family, work, etc. And I've been trying to help with that fanspoll.com thing too. Nothing official, just spreading the word. But I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I'm excited about the season.

Just hate hearing about anyone getting seriously hurt and it's doubly sad when it's one of the really talented kids. Brossard is a load. You just hope it's not too serious long term and that he'll be able to make it back and keep his pro football dream alive as well.
