i dont think but who knows. i was told this was good for cast iron and salvaged a jambalaya pot. only 3 dead so i dont think theres any worries.
JB Weld lasts forever. I used it to fix a leak in an aluminum canoe. I got a dot of it on the new shirt I was wearing. In several years of washing it never came out.
I would not use JB Weld on something for food. I used some on the heater for a coffee pot. The coffee tasted like shit after. You can weld cast iron using nickel welding rods.
I used this method and it worked great. I do recommend the wire brush on the drill as it saves time. http://theprepperproject.com/restore-rusty-cast-iron-cookware/
Yep, looks about right. I had one that was badly neglected down at the lake and she is now back to tip top condition.
How long should you keep old documents? Like tax returns and that giant packet of crap they give you when you buy a house? What about after you sell a house?
I keep tax returns forever. You can probably get rid of all of the supporting tax documents after 7 years, but you never know when you might need to know something that was on those returns. I keep old deeds and legal property documents forever. You can probably get rid of a lot of the minor papers and much of the "giant packet of crap", but with the proliferation of legacy lawsuits against former landowners it may be important to be able to prove when and where you acquired or disposed of land and the agreements that accompanied it. I also keep insurance claims paperwork.
