The new helmet rule

    We all realize this. But it is not without penalty. If he gives up 15 yards and a first down for sitting Hillard one play, it may not pay to do it in the first place. Moreover, on a personal foul, a referee can eject a player. Ripping off a helmet is potential spinal damage. If refs start ejecting players for ripping off helmets, it will stop this practice in its tracks.
