Dont know, the Klan never had a support the president Rally. Doubt they supported Bush. He is to moderate for them. Have to ask a Klansman about that. I never saw the Klan burning Kerrys image in effigy.... So its hard to know who they voted for. Doubt they voted for Bush however, they dont like his form of government.
The Klan has always supported the Republican Party. In fact, David Duke is a Republican. My point is: extremists don't respresent either party...
Ahh facts my friend elude you. I was the President of College Republicans when he ran for Govenor, the RNC refused to support Duke, and would not allow him to run as a Republican, as national programs we were not allow to support him (We didnt anyway, we supported Romer).... He ran as an independent, Edwards - Dem, Romer - Rep - Duke - Ind. Duke claimed to be a Republican back then because he wanted the backing of the money. Republicans ran like hell from him in fact the Republican party will have nothing to do with him.... He has long since denounced the Republican Party. His rhetoric recently has been "Anybody but Bush" which ironically is the battle cry of the left.... Lastly the Klan hates GW and previous Republican presidents is of their unwavering alliance with Israel. (remember the Klan hates not only African Americans, but Catholics and Jews) I am a Republican Catholic who has Gay friends. They really hate me.... You do realize in the days of old, the KKK was made up of Southern Baptists Democrats..... ?? yes of course they would not be democrats today, however they are not republicans either. They are well..Dumb assess.... If you dont believe feel free to visit his website. He clearly talks of his hatred for George Bush.... He talks about their opposition to the war in Iraq and how Bush is a suck up to Israel (as they refer to it) Sorry to burst your bubble there.
You have just made TigerWins point for him. David Duke is an extremist and registered as a republican. As a member of that party, you certainly did not claim that idiot as one of your own. Yet when you see an anti-Bush rally you immediately label those idiots as democrats.......
Just in case you dont want to view David Dukes Website (Understandable) here is the exact transcript of his radio show "The election is right around the corner and guess what, the American people once again have no real choice for President of the United States of America. No candidate is really worth the vote of one American but I can say without the least hesitation that no candidate deserves defeat more than George Bush, who is the clearest example of a traitor to the American people since the time of Benedict Arnold. The only President who I would say had out-treasoned George Bush was Franklin D. Roosevelt who, completely controlled by his Jewish supremacist advisors and financers, worked so intently to foment the Second World War, the most disastrous and terrible blood-letting in the history of European mankind in o, and the seminal event that has directly led to the rise of Israel, Zionism and Jewish supremacy over our government, media and culture in the postwar years. "
No you are missing the point, he is NOT a registered Republican. He denounces the Republican party as traitors... Good lord read my post, he wanted to be a republican simply because he wanted the money, the republicans ran like hell, he hates the Republican party... Read the snippet from Dukes Site above. Pretty much sums up what the Klan thinks about Bush and the Republican party... The people in those pictures labeled themseleves as Democrats I didnt...
I admit that I don't keep up with David Duke these days, but according to his website, he was the Chairman of Republican Parish Executive Committee in Louisiana from 1996-2000, representing St Tammany Parish. So it wasn't all that long ago. My point still stands...
Well your point is duly noted, I guess there is an argument there that he does refer to himself as a republican, which is Ironic because he does nothing but rail on Republicans and most republicans hate him. The republican party wants nothing to do with him. Your point does has some validity as many nut bags claim to be republicans,
He was claiming to be a republican and DID register as a republican when he intended to run for public office. Yes, he later changed to independent to get on the ballot because he was denounced by republicans. Like I said "As a member of that party, you certainly did not claim that idiot as one of your own." The rest of your party obviously did not either. Yet you conveniently toss the idiots this thread is about into the democratic party.
