So Eric Clapton, a session guitarist, the only non-Beatle guitarist to play on a Beatles album. While my Guitar Gently Weeps", both solo & rhythm with George Harrison. The guitarist for Cream. "White Room & Sushine of your Love" - Cream, the guy who wrote & played & sang Layla, along with Duane Allman on slide guitar, is not as good as "Emphasis guitarist" David Gilmour? "You can really feel that note, Bro." - Floyd fan boys.

I'd give Gilmour a shot as possibly a better song writer, but better guitarist? No.

 

I'd take Gilmour above Clapton too.

but when you get that high on the list, it's almost like arguing who is the sexiest Swedish Bikini Model.
