That is how I play with a slight variation, on the E I use my middle finger on the 1st fret G instead of the standard way to play it. It makes it a lot easier to transition to the F#m/E and the G#m/E because then I use my index finger on the G string for those chords.
Dude its an E major, one of the easiest ones to play. Just play the E with your middle finger instead of index, the rest just falls into place. Slide the E major up a step and you have F# minor over E, one more step and you have G# minor
I wish, I'd be a whole lot better with the guitar if I understood music theory a little better. I say a little because I don't understand it at all
You could learn to play. Start off easy. Get yourself a kazoo. Smoke a couple of blunts and play until they beg you to stop.
