Here are some of my new favs I know some of these are pretty popular but I go through these phases where every like 5th year or so I get on this indie kick and just start searching for bands or artists and I’ve managed to find quite a few I like. I’m a rock n roll guy at heart but I actually listen to everything, and there is this trend I’ve noticed lately how a lot of indie bands are incorporating synth’s and sounding like they came from the 80’s which is by far my favorite music decade. Not because I think the music is better, I just think there was so much decent to good music released the only other comparable decades are the 60’s and 90’s imo.

    Anyway:

Not synthy but this dude is amazing
Father John Misty - formerly J. Tillman

The XX I’ll give a few by them I like:

Chvrches has been around awhile but I think I’m in love with their lead singer and they sound really fucking 80’s.

    Crystal Fighters (love this song)

Same song but acoustic and bad ass

Without having to YouTube and post a bunch of more links I’ll just give some artist names.

FIDLAR - kind of surfer California rancid good band for anyone that likes a blend of Cali surf music and punk.

Damien Jurado - the song Kola damn bear brings me to tears everytime I hear it.

    Unknown Mortal Orchestra
Billie Elilish - sexy as fuck too
    The Wombats
    Shy Girls
    Sky Ferreira
    LANY
    Mikky Ekko
    Tv on the Radio
    Jack River

I could go on and on.
