The invention of the electric guitar was important in changing the nature of the blues because it allowed the guitars to be heard in noisy bars. Elmore James and others in Chicago developed the Chicago style that came from rural Mississippi and Louisiana when the great northern black migration happened.

That migration also brought the taste of Barq's to the north. The biggest markets of Barq's root beer are the Gulf coast and Chicago.

 

Just came back from an enjoyable dinner with a friend and ran into this old friend at the next table...
