Here's the best Rush tribute band I've heard so far, and yes, one of the things that puts them above the rest is a female singer who can hit Geddy's early-career notes. They also do some damn strong original stuff, that has an obvious Rush influence. Here is YYNOT:
Damn good. Sounds like the early Rush when they were rockers instead of all that synthesizor stuff in their later music.
I just heard of these guys in an email from Midcity Ballroom where they are playing the day before Thanksgiving. They are from Baton Rouge.
