im a strong believer in treatment. ive seen cases that i thought were impossible end up submitting to treatment and staying clean.

for the record, i have never seen "intervention". hell, i didnt even know there was a show. however, i did for a time work with alcoholics/addicts and was training to be a rehab counselor. i had a couple of drug counselors encourage me to become one because they thought i was really good working with addicts/alcholics as i had been doing in a volunteer capacity. and i was good at it. my weakness was you need to be able to step back from it and not keep it with you 24/7. i saw that even tho i was good and i really got something from it, i would burn out quickly so i never finished training or got my certification.

but i have seen success stories of people no one thought would make it. and ive seen people that seemingly were model patients who stayed clean for years go back to using and die from the disease of alcholism and their addiction to drugs. it can be a crap shoot. maybe those that are given shots at rehab but still have the inability to stay clean should be locked away. but i believe we should at least try to get people off drugs to lead a productive life. for those that are helped and make it, we all win in what is saves $$ wise in the long run.

making rope? clothes? getting high? what did the great deity in the sky make pot for? Isn't making a plant illegal kind of like saying God was wrong?

The only reason the plant is legal is because of what people use it for. If God made a bush that grew pre-wrapped joints and they were illegal then that would be a different story.

Also, just because something terrible isn't easy to enforce doesn't mean you should stop enforcing it. Also, I believe you have to be over a certain age to buy specific household chemicals. I know when I worked at Sherwin Williams we couldn't sell Acetone and other stuff to people if they weren't old enough. There was one dude that would come in all the time looking for that stuff and it was obvious he wasn't using it for painting. He was old enough so there was nothing we could do.

wrong, the powers that be have done a nice job lying to everyone so that is what we think, just like the commercial on tv right now that says "cops write seat belt tickets to save lives" bull sh!t, cops write seat belt tickets to make money.

here is a nice website that shows why weed is illegal, richard nixon at one point thought weed made people not like him.

    Why is Marijuana Illegal?

I have an employee who is a recovering crack addict. I have bent over backwards to help the guy. Without boring you with the details, he is on his last chance before I am done. Sure you try to help people. However, they have to want to be helped.

If my kid refused all attempts at help, I would do my best to use every connection and bit of influence I both have and could borrow, to arrange the most nurturing incarceration I could.

leave the meth users alone....let them blow themselves up making it ...trash their own skin picking at those imaginary meth bugs and have their teeth fall out so they look like the front row at neyland stadium. These people can all be darwin award winners for all i care

what pisses me off is a few years ago i have a drain clogged in the house, i send my son to the store to get some liquid plumber and he cant buy it because it is now age restricted. What a joke.
