Spieth leading early. 3 stroke lead at 5 under through 14. I didn't think he would come out smoking like that. Even though he has 1 tourney win he hasn't been nearly as hot as last year so far and it's really, really tough to win the green jacket 2 years in a row. Look for Bubba to make a big run before it's over.

I'm rooting for Smylie Kaufman, an ex LSU golfer in his first Masters.

    A Tradition like no other

Never was the biggest Phil fan but I was thinking a few days ago he's going to win this. He's 6 back so maybe he gets better as the trny goes on instead of fading. I'll take mcilroy who is 4 back. And let's take the lizard. Zach Johnson for another one 6 back.

Can't take spieth who is in the lead. He's the white Tiger.

Fowler looked more like me out there today. Ouch. Needs a big run tomorrow.

Spieth has been underperforming since the end of last year, he is turning it on when it matters. Nice.

that's the first I've seen of the 6 putt debacle, I didn't realize all 6 putts were from inside 3 feet

I never picked Phil prior. For this very reason. Choke a Rama.

    Phil was 9 over par over a 10 hole stretch from 7 through 16 (-1 to +8)

One self-inflicted wound after another. His putting was unbelievably bad.

I like this amateur that's in the mix (Dechambeau). Too bad he triple bogeyed 18. Otherwise he would have gone out with the very last group. He fell all the way into the 6th to last group.

He stands almost straight up and has custom made clubs to fit his stance and swing style. It's very different.
