Christians have been ratcheting up this kind of rhetoric over the past 20 years or so as they have lost one cultural war after another: abortion rights, lgbt rights, marijuana legalization, civil rights, women's rights, etc.

Christians are trying to weaponize their faith and Sessions, acting as an agent of the government, is assisting them in their efforts. You guys always like to talk about "slippery slopes" with gun control, etc. but the point becomes moot when it applies to religious groups who would have us tilted toward theocracy.
