With all the furor over Trump and his actions it’s too easy to neglect a more serious threat to our country. The latest fair haired...well dark haired heroine of the Democrats Is a proud member of the Democratic Socialst Party. What are some of their positions? Well how about having ownership of companies by the state. How about eliminating the US Senate.
In other words they’re communists who want the same sort of government that has given the world Venezuela, Cuba and of course the Soviet Union. They are the anthesis to all we have held dear in this country and anathema to our future.

I know, how dare Americans want healthcare for their kids, a living wage, and education for them as well. The horror. I’m sorry but if all you conservatives here can’t protect us against your monsters don’t expect any fucking help when ours are unleashed.

 

Sure we want that for all. We just want them to work for it and earn it, like we do.

 

And you think that’s what they want? You’re as willfully blind as the Trumpsters then. They laid it out in the article that they want to change the fundamental fabric of the country. They want government to own and operate corporations. They want to eliminate the Senate and destroy the constitution. This in their own words.
Things like free healthcare and the like are only chum for the foolish. You get none of those things from socialism...only a life that is brutish, miserable and short. Ask the Venezuelans or Russians who remember the Soviet Union.

Sounds nice and appeals to the emotions, but at some point, you run out of other peoples money. There is a reason there are no examples of socialism working long term. It works until you run out of money.

The the long term problem becomes there is no incentive to do anything. Even our small examples here in the US, you loose all your benefits if you start working. So, why work?

To add, name an efficient government program?

I mean, government is also the reason college cost an arm and a leg.
