That leads to the underneath routes. We'll take those 5-8 yards all day long. It also leads to no pressure on the QB. In a nickel or dime set it's going to open those short routes and a running game as well.
Well, let me be blunt. Bama doesn't have a quarterback like Tebow or Woodson. Not close. You expect Pellini to make no changes and just show you the same defense, I suppose. Check the SEC stats--LSU is among the leaders in sacks and tackles for loss.
Obviously you are, and you make irrelevant points about Bama's offense vs LSU, and they haven't played the game. And if you would pay attention, instead of wandering around like Saban's the lead signer of Lynard Skynard...you notice that JJ would rather catch passes from EJ Manuel than JP.
LSU fans remember well - Harvey Williams - several years ago. Some you win and some you don't. You never really know until the LOI is in. ldskule:
No i am just smart enough to realize a big game when i see one. And yes the victory wont mean as much if we win and lose the last two. But if we dont win this one the last two dont mean as much either. So that makes this a big game. Maybe i am older than you and just remember the Charley Mac days a little more. Cause this game always meant alot to LSU fans then. And still means a lot to me even if the SECW wasnt in the picture.
I never made that comparison Red. He doesn't have to be either of those two QB's to be able to manage the offense. Here, I'm trying to stay on the same page of music. You mentioned playing as many as 6 DB's. In those situations, you are talking about rushing 3. That doesn't lead to a lot of sacks or tackles for losses. It's designed to keep the play in front of the DB's and prevent long plays. It does allow teams to nickel and dime defenses on short routes.
But you said Bama would do it all day long. If you can't establish a run, Pellini will not let you get away with dink passes all day long. Kentucky and Florida did it because they could run and they could hit the long ball. Can Bama?
