I think it was an accident on gumbo's part and was over his head too! I gotta believe he means using the 20 mill for some other assistance program.
i meant it was stupid for the ucla fan to make that statement because $20 million, regardless of the source, is a drop in the bucket to solve La's problems.

I did notice that this guy thought sports wasn't important until he threw in "we've won 154 national championships. most of any school." all of a sudden, sports are important to him again.
If you want to grind UCLA fans, mention that USC has a stellar baseball field right on campus (which is true) that should be used instead.
That, and the last time I checked NOBODY living in California should be lecturing anyone on state fiscal solvency and priorities.
