I'll say a prayer for poor Julius Serna. To lose like that, after Oregon State left everything they had out on that field tonight, is a cruel blow. Hats off to the Beavers. Please, please, PLEASE guys, go 10-1 and crush USC when they come to Corvallis. I know you can do it; your team impressed me that much tonight. As for the Tigers, well, better lucky than good I suppose. We have a tune-up vs. Arkansas State before the schedule gets rough. We need to use it wisely and work hard this practice week. Tonight's offensive performance will simply not cut it against Auburn or Georgia.
if u are gonna blame the refs, how about the step out of the endzone on the "touchback" forget all that noise. GO TIGERS.
well buford, I will say this. We played a good team tonight, probably much better then we should have. The no fumble call was huge, but calls can and do go either way. We happened to be on the good side tonight. I saw your game against Georgia Southern or State or Poly Tech, and your "great" defense gave up over 300 yards rushing to them. what are you going to do when Auburn, LSU, and the rest of the SEC with REAL rushing stars plays you?
I suppose we will step up to the competition. We will just have to see. Georgia Southern runs a triple option and for sure it gave us fits. But when we were up 41-14 we had guys in the game that will never see the field against real competition. Sure we faced some adversity today from an inferior team but our offense had no troubles at all. You guys played a sucky team as well (granted better than GSU) but it took 3 missed extra points for the win. This is NOT the same LSU team from last year by a LONG shot.
agreed, but they are damn exiting, aren't they? good luck. hopefully we will both be undefeated come 10/2/04
Good post, completely agree. These games like we had tonight remind us that it is a long season. One filled with all kinds of objectives on many differently levels. Time for the team to start progressing after tonight's "escape."
You are a fool..... This was our first game of the season without a qb and inexperienced wr's. Even other teams such as USuck and OU struggled in their games and they had the qb from last year. They had more offensive experience than we had today. I'm sure you are the type of person that will disappear from here all of a sudden if our team beats yours in Athens. After us almost losing to OSU, how good does that make your team then?
As far as I am concerned, last year is now totally done. Of course, teams like UGA will have it in for us. That's to be expected. We are the defending SEC and NC champs. I think we have to climb a big hill to repeat, but wasn't that to be expected anyway? Right now, I can't worry about the UGAs of the world. We have too much work to do before 10/2 to even be thinking about that. Yeah, I am worried, but I am glad we escaped with a win tonight.
Was about to post that. I'm just going to start ignoring the 1 post wonders that have suddenly popped up.
