LOADED! All the teams we compete with year in and year for top recruiting classes are busy competing for the playoffs and championships.

Agreed, that is my point. We need to get rid of Miles instead of waiting 2 more seasons of losing.

You guys on the wrong thread go to "Better not let Aranda leave" for all the answers. You see TigerTap and tirk have figured out its Aranda and his defense is the problem. How much will it take to buy out Aranda's contract anyone know?

I wish it would be Herman, but I just don't think he would want to come here. I think the only job that could pry him away from HOU is the UT job. The only way he would even consider coming here is if we offered him $7-10m a year, which ain't happening.

I understand the narrative of people comparing success or failure on just beating Bama, but I'm afraid that isn't the case anymore. Les Miles and LSU are well beyond just not beating Bama.

Don't get it wrong, Les Miles has done a great deal for the LSU program, I'll always hold love and admiration for the mad hat. But as things do, they come to an end, ''tis life.

Les Miles still does well in some categories like recruiting (all but the QB and P) and putting players in the NFL. I'll never disagree with you there and think he would be a great ambassador to the school for all that he has done for state of Louisiana.

But......as far as the X's and O's go on the field (that he started eating), the man is plain bat shit crazy and it's time to move on. His philosophy is archaic, extremely easy to defend and it's leaving his blue chip athletes with very little opportunity to maximize their talent.

I would compare the LSU job very much like it was when Satan left. This is a team with solid talent, top notch facilities, a national recruiting base and all the potential a coach could be looking for. In fact LSU now has a much longer tradition of winning and under multiple coaches plus you're now not following a legend that brought the program back. Herman would be crazy to turn down an offer from LSU.

There is an article about Aranda and Hermans friendship and history together. I was told about it, did not actually read it, but if true maybe Aranda could help pull him in. Be nice to see some young guys come in and build us back to championship form. If we open the purse and with his ties to Aranda we might be able to pull it off. If anyone knows of the article feel free to post link.
