How many times must this be explained to you? This was an attempted coup. The goal of the insurrection was to terrorize Mike Pence and the electoral college from certifying and finalizing the election, thus giving trump a claim to an unbinding election, and thus inciting his millions of trumpidiots around the country to rally around, and even to take up arms, against moving forward with it. As Winston pointed out, it only takes a few hundred people in strategic places to start revolutions that topple governments.

And you know what? When they were attempting that, when they were marching violently upon the Capitol and then within the Capitol, I AM CERTAIN that you knew of that goal, approved, and were cheering them on. Same goes for fanatic and shane.
