There are levels of patriotism, to be sure. I would score somebody who cheered the subversion of our Constitution in favor of a cult leader and who cheered on terrorists who tried to overthrow a democratic election in favor of a cult leader very low on that scale.

its very material. its also material how many they are, how serious they are, how likely they are to overthrow the govt, etc. all of that is super duper relevant.

you guys seem unwilling to concede a fundamental point. that the chance of success for an insurrection is important.

again, i ask: imagine if the "insurrection" was all of the state governors, 95% of the military, the supreme court, all of the major arms manufacturing companies, 91% of the house and 89% of the senate. now, will you concede that more dangerous that if my retarded cousin singlehandedly tried to overthrow the govt by crashing his skateboard into the post office?

can you concede that there is difference in degrees of severity of "insurection"? lets start with you understanding that.

lets imagine the worst case scenario, they defeat all the capitol security and kill everyone there. do you think this means they are granted control of everything and they can get on the phone and have our navy raise Q flags on the aircraft carriers?

the media has really fooled you with their claims of how we almost lost our democracy. democracy is not a physical item contained in a building you can grab and run away with like capture the flag.
