Do you mean like news coverage in ESPN and discussion about them on sports forums? Gotta hate that, huh? But really, as long as they play on Saturday, why would someone care what kind of person they are (unless you live around them, then that would suck.)

If he wasn't an athlete, this wouldn't have been news. Hell, I was just a semi-normal student when late one evening I was staggering down Highland ave after a night of drinking. The cops stopped me, cuffed me, frisked me, ridiculed me, and sent me on my way. I was loaded and sure as hell wasn't all that rational. They could have taken me in, but figured I'd pay for it the next day. Just because he wasn't arrested doesn't mean that he was given special treatment because he was an FSU athlete in Tallahassee. Heck an FSU linebacker ( A.J. Nicholson) was tasered by the cops in the past couple of weeks because he was hiding in some bushes at an apartment complex construction site and wouldn't come out when told. Thats special treatment I can live without. Still not sure what happened there, but have a friend that's been assigned the case.
So your point was that this isn't newsworthy, since he's only an athlete? If that's the case, then I still disagree b/c I like the OU farks of this kinda stuff. :hihi::thumb:
