    Damnit kid you are coming around. Barry screwed the pooch on this one and the Hildebeast is foaming at the mouth to see just how much worse she can fuck this country up.

    I still don't think she makes it to the nomination but IF she does and IF she wins she is a 1 termer and then off into Bolivia for both those crooks.

    Of course it does, back when he was doing this and people were bitching about it, oh wait, weren't you one of them saying we should try our congressmen for treason?

    They knew it was a shit deal, it's even shittier than we thought and now the only way we can stop it is with a veto over ride, damn near impossible.

    Shane: we can't stop it.

    Even if we say no, the other countries are going ahead.

    Our best bet is to proceed with all planning as if Iran has nukes. It's called cutting our losses.

    big difference, I don't think they should have gone out on their own and undermined the president to another world leader, especially an enemy. The way they treat Obama is far worse than any other president has been treated in history and while W was treated pretty horribly, I feel most of it was warranted. Republicans always want to say Obama has weakened American overseas, I feel that what they did weakened us more than anything Obama has done. If you are against it, vote against it, don't air our dirty laundry out to the world. Schumer has handled it like the others should have.

    Do I like Obama? Not really. But it's not for the same reasons you and others do. I don't like him because I was sold a flaming bag of dog shit. He was supposed to be the guy that pushed a real progressive agenda, and he has been anything but. He is a corporatist who is in the pocket of lobbyists and insurance companies and lawyers.

    The deal, could have been stopped without these congressmen flying the coup and writing a fuck you letter to the Ayotollah. That's for us to do, not our congressmen. I think we should have a deal with Iran, but the sanctions should be severe until they can prove they can be a part of this world without their fanaticism and terror.

    Socially I think Obama has done ok, but I'm not sure the same thing doesn't happen if he weren't President, a lot of people are evolving on social issues so maybe they happen anyway.

    Another treaty, most likely. A lot can happen in ten years. Another Iranian revolution perhaps. Without a treaty they have a weapon within a year.

    The bottom line is that we can't stop anybody from building a bomb if they really want to unless we are willing to invade, conquer, and occupy them indefinitely. We couldn't stop the Soviets, Britain, France, Israel, India, China, or Pakistan from doing so. War is the alternative that the Republicans want --another middle eastern war that buys us nothing we need against a country that is no threat to us.

    We had to do this now because we have China, Europe, and Russia on board and that will not last forever.

    What losses?

    Iran is no threat to us. We already have a huge deterrent against anybody that tries to use a nuclear weapon against us. We own the Persian Gulf and have dozens of bases and allies all around Iran. We have frozen their assets for 36 years, helped Saddam kill a million of them, and created crippling sanctions against their economy. We back local nuclear powers Israel and Pakistan in their neighborhood. We have taken down countries on both sides of Iran and they got the message very clearly. They cannot win against the Superpower.

    It is Iran that is cutting their losses.

    I don't disagree with any of that.

    Not talking war. Just one nuc det. Tel Aviv, Riyahd, Baton Rouge. Anywhere. Not good.
