When I joined, this was a smaller board, with better thinking fans than all the other boards I reviewed. Maybe what I liked about it was that IT DID NOT reflect the general Tiger Nation. Last night, I thought the usual rant board looked more sane than TF.

I realize business entities must evolve, like GM did from a startup, to a dominant vendor, it failed to meet the Japanese challenge and eventually went bankrupt. Some businesses survive, like IBM has weathered the challenges of the PC and Server revolution. But it is a vastly different IBM today from the one that won the computer wars in the 70's, driving RCA, Burroughs, Univac, NCR, Control Data Corp, and Honeywell out of the business.

As the product changes, it could be good. You may lose one person and gain 10, and its a good thing for you. I will respect that. I haven't made a decision yet, I'll watch for a while. Last night was ugly, but not terminally ugly. :)

Last night was exactly how I expected and maybe not even as bad as I expected.

I waited a few hours after the game before I had the intestinal fortitude to venture into the Den. I seriously considered waiting until today or tomorrow, but as Sarah Jessica Parker said in "Sex and the City": "I'm an emotional cutter."

Again, what is going on has little to do with policies of the forum and everything to do with the chaos of the LSU football program and unhapiness of the LSU fan base. Most of our years here have been spent under a program that was dominating the SEC and college football and winning SEC and national championships. Not much to complain about.

I understand if now that the mood has has changed with the LSU community and discontent and negativity are now the prevalent mood not wanting to read as much. But it's the nature of what is taking place with LSU not the policies of this forum.

Posting negative about what's been happening lately is understandable after last night, whether you support Miles or have always looked forward to his fall since he's been here.

But the tone is starting to look like Tigerdroppings, and I really hope that doesn't happen.

The only thing that concerns me is when people start throwing personal insults at other posters. IMO, there is no need for that, regardless of whether you agree with the opinions being posted or not.

When every other post is an insult instead of adding something to the conversation is just pathetic OR how about calling people out to meet up somewhere an get in a fist fight!!!

Agreed, and I just took a quick spin through the Den for the first time since about 9:00 last night. The tone of some of the threads is ridiculous, and with the exception of your thread about the WBRZ video, which has a few regulars, its all newbies that are posting garbage. Personally, I'm not worried about it. Unless they're true LSU fans who are just late to the board, they won't stay long. If they do stay, they'll see enough proper TF behavior from the regulars and will come in line eventually.

i am new to this forum and reading some of the things the older members say is not very welcoming to a new person. what is wrong with being crazy??? to most of america we are thought of as being crazy....death valley people we are a very unique breed of people in louisiana, the nation laughs and jokes about us but deep down they wish they could be crazy like us; to the old members we all get crazy from time to time and learn to not throw stones in a glass house we ALL have our faults....
