I wish we would delete a few posts, like the one from rival fans usually. Specifically the one from the "Alabamafan" that was posted last week after the UF loss.
For me, we catch enough crap in the real world from rival fans, being from Louisiana, LSU etc. As I said in a different post I got it at the U2 concert from UF fan. I guess my point I dont mind getting in arguments with fellow LSU fans, but when we allow a rival fan to come here and insult us, and even at times attack our state and fans. I just wonder why we just dont delete those threads. I guess its dissapointing that we allow a forum for rival fans to bash us.
If we just delete them they stop, Tidefans.com does it.
If they realize if they post that stuff it wont stay up there. They give up.

But thats just me, I guess I find this place like our home, sure we fight amongst ourselves but if someone messes with us we stick together.

Single-digit, registered-yesterday overt flamers will still disappear, fellers. We just don't want to delete rivals who aren't aware of LSU sensitivities, newbies who don't know they are beating a dead horse, and people who just have unpopular views or annoying personal styles. It's not against the rules to be a jerk or to be foolish. That's a slippery slope with subjective criteria and we don't want to go there. So, some posers and minor trolls may get into the mix. That doesn't mean that standards of civility won't be kept regarding personal attacks, vulgarities, or stalking.

Brett's site improvements and interactivity will be bringing us a bigger crowd, which is good. A certain amount of tolerance will help accomodate more threads, more posters, and more forums. TF offers the reputation system for you to register personal approval or disapproval of any post, the ignore list to remove posts from members you don't care for, and the report post button to report a post that you think violates the rules in the User Agreement. Mods can then issue infractions if warranted. You can turn off avatars and signatures if you so choose. Even run your own forum.

You can always get here by using tigerforums.com but TigerFan.com will be the new site.
